A US-based Artist Accuses Joe Mettle of ''Stealing'' His Song.

Popular Ghanaian Gospel artiste and VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’, Joe Mettle has been accused of stealing a song owned by a Ghanaian singer based in the United States, Fletcher Narh. Fletcher Narh who granted an exclusive interview with Ola Michael on Neat FM on Tuesday, May 17 claimed that Joe Mettle lifted portions of his song and used it on his own song without his consent and that authorization of his management. According to Fletcher Narh, his breakthrough song, ‘Mayi W’aye’ which was released 15 years ago was taken by Joe Mettle in 2015 also titled “Meyi W’aye” without going through the due copyright process. “I sang Meyi W’aye about 15 years ago,” “I’m the only one that understands the history behind the song and how God gave the song. A 16-Year-Old Final Year Student Commits Suicide

A 16-year-old final year student of Miracle Senior High School at Barkoniaba in the Sunyani municipality of the Bono Region has allegedly committed suicide. Leticia Kyere Pinaman is alleged to have been found hanging at the school's dining hall by her colleagues on Monday around 9:30 pm. It is not immediately known what led to the incident, but it happened whiles the rest of the students were at the church auditorium for Bible studies. "I heard the students shouting, so I rushed there and saw her hanging quickly rushed to the church auditorium to call the proprietor and the proprietress," she said. Meanwhile, the Sunyani Municipal Police has conveyed the body and deposited it at a morgue in the Sunyani Regional Hospital for autopsy and preservation. Source: MyJoyOnline

The Church of Pentecost builds and Donates Prison Infrastructure to Ghana Prisons Service.

The church of Pentecost has constructed an ultra_modern prison complex and donated it to the Ghana prison service in the 2021 possessing the nations agenda which is a social intervention project geared towards relieving a fraction of pressure from the government. The project which is cited at Ejura comprise a fully furnished three dormitory blocks with 300 inmates accommodation capacity. It Also comprises an administration block, chapel which will also be used as classroom, football pitch, baptistry, modern washrooms, mechanized borehole, offices, infirmary, workshops and other auxiliary facilities. The prison complex was jointly commissioned by the Interior Minister, Hon. Ambrose Dery, the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, and the Chief of Ejura, Barima Osei Hwedie II.
