NEW UPDATE: THE GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE (GES) POSTPONES IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMON CORE PROGRAMME (CCP)

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has postponed the implementation of the Common Core Programme (CCP), the new curriculum developed for the Junior High School (JHS).  Giving updates on pre-tertiary education in the country at a press briefing, Prof Opoku-Amankwa said, the new curriculum would rather be implemented next academic year, after enough sensitisation, the GES stated, and therefore requested teachers to continue to use the old curriculum to teach. Training The Director-General of the service, Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, who announced this, said the junior high schools would therefore continue to use the old curriculum and the textbooks since that was still available in the schools. Asante Kotoko outdoors new kits for 2021/2022 season

Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have released their 2021/22 home jersey for the forthcoming Ghana football season. The kits are manufactured by the club’s kit supplier, Errea. The Porcupine Warriors continue their partnership with the Italian-based kit-manufacturing company for their 2021/22 jerseys as they enter the second year of their collaboration. In October 2020, Asante Kotoko announced a three-year partnership deal with Italian firm, Errea, in which special home and away jerseys were designed to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the club. Asante Kotoko’s new kits for the upcoming season are designed to inspire the culture and tradition of the Ashanti Kingdom ruled by the club’s owner, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Asante Kotoko finished second in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season, losing the title to their sworn-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak who had been without a major trophy in the last eleven years. Angel TV Razes To Ashes!

Report has it that fire has gutted Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) at Lapaz in Accra. The operations of Angel Broadcasting network Mim-based radio and tv station, Angel FM and Angel Tv was stopped abruptly after fire was spotted in the building. The fire, which started In the afternoon destroyed office spaces, washrooms, and other parts of the facility. Although it is unclear what caused the fire, some witnesses say it started from one of their offices and extended to other parts of the facility.

The Ghana Football fraternity was hit by an unfortunate news earlier today with the death of the ex-Black Stars full-back Former Ghana and Asante Kotoko defender Godfred Yeboah popularly known as TV3 was confirmed dead on Tuesday morning after a short illness. Yeboah, 41, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday at the Sunyani Regional Hospital whiles on admission for abdominal pains. His former teammate at Asante Kotoko, Isaac Amoako narrated the cause of Yeboah's death in an interview with Kumasi based radio station Kessben FM. "He [Godfred Yeboah] only complained abdominal pains somewhere last week. I was called three days ago that my friend has been rushed to the Sunyani Regional Hospital," "He wasn't ill for weeks or months...Godfred was energetic until he complained of abdominal pains on Sunday.
