Covid_19 Pandemic

Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a new strain that was discovered in 2019 and has not been previously identified in humans. Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus that was first identified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China. Coronaviruses were first identified in the 1960s and rediscovered in December, 2019.
Detailed investigations found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans. The virus is large that is, it settles in the air and on surfaces and thus it will live for twelve hours.
Some coronavirus disease (COVID-19) advice for the public: Myth busters according to the World Health Organization (WHO) includes: the COVID-19 virus can be transmitted in areas with hot and humid climates i.e. cold weather, snow and hot weather conditions cannot kill the new coronavirus, Taking a hot bath does not prevent the new coronavirus disease, The new coronavirus cannot be transmitted through mosquito bites, hand dryers are not effective in killing the coronavirus, spraying alcohol or chlorine all over your body cannot kill the coronavirus, vaccines against pneumonia does not protect you against the new coronavirus, regularly rinsing your nose with saline does not help prevent infection with the coronavirus, eating garlic cannot help prevent infection with the new coronavirus, older or younger people are all susceptible to the coronavirus and antibiotics are not effective in preventing and treating the new coronavirus.
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever and cough, shortness of breath, headache, fatigue, diarrhoea, muscle ache, sore throat, runny nose and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
Standard sanctions to check infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose with tissue when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs before eating, avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing, sanitize in your hands regularly when you handle money or touch surfaces, take your drinks hot/warm regularly, avoid clouded places, leave one step or 2 meters from another person, avoid handshakes, wipe and disinfect your phone, door handles, keys with sanitizer, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, wash your hands often with soap under running water for at least 20 seconds and ultimately stay at home if you have nothing tangible to catch in town or crowded areas.
