Mobile Money Agents Association To Embark On Strike

The Ghana government's proposal of 1.75% e_levy on all Mobile money transactions has spark public uproar and the mobile money association has decided to embark on strike on the 23rd December to register their displeasure against this directive from government. They envisage that mobile money services will not be available to customers on the said date.

South Africa want pre-AFCON friendly against Ghana

Ghana and South Africa could clash again soon despite the perceived bad blood between the two countries football associations after the 2022 World Cup qualifier in November. South Africa have written to Ghana requesting a friendly match before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations next year, sources have told Ghanasoccernet.com. GOIL Quits Association Of Oil Marketing Companies

The Ghana Oil Company (GOIL) has suspended its membership from the Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMCs) with immediate effect following accusations that its recent reduction in fuel prices was due to government influence. Government had urged Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to reduce prices of petroleum products to cushion the motoring public, following a sit-down strike by some Driver Unions. GOIL complied with the appeal and reduced its prices by 15 pesewas per liter at the pumps. But the AOMCs, wrote to the Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, asking the government to stay clear of price deregulation as is being implemented by the OMCs. This appears not to have gone down well with GOIL as captured in a statement dated December 8, 2021. Accra Hearts of Oak SC under the tutelage of coach Samuel Boadu's CAF campaign has ended in fiasco. Hearts of Oak won the first leg of their caf confederation cup contest against JS Saoura back here in Accra last weekend to 2 goals to nil. The return leg played yesterday in Algiers resulted in favour of the Algerian side JS Saoura to a 4_0 against the Ghanaian champions. An aggregate of 10-1 loss in their two away trips to North Africa means Accra hearts of Oak are out of the African contest for the 2021_2022 season. Boadu and his Hearts of Oak SC side are without a league win in the first four league matches of the season In the Ghana premier league.

The Late Sports Journo Steve Crouch Goes Home.

The former head of sports for Obuasi-based radio station OFM's funeral is scheduled for Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th November 2021 at  Kokoteasua in the Obuasi municipality. Steve Crouch (Pokado Mendoza) was the sports head at OFM in Obuasi. He worked at radio stations like Dom Peace radio, Sikapa FM and OFM all in Obuasi. He was a major influence in the sports industry. His sudden demise occurred on the 18th of October 2021 at his residence in Kokoteasua. An autopsy report conducted into his demise indicated inconclusive evidence and thus needed further investigation and examination to unravel the real cause of death.  He was thirty years of age and is survived by no wife or child. All sports-loving fans, friends, and comrades are all invited to mourn with the family and pay their last respect.

O'FM SPORTS HEAD DEAD.

Death has laid its icy hands on Stephen Gyekye Boadu_Pokado Mendoza (Steve Crouch)-the sports head of Obuasi O'FM on Monday dawn.  He, Steve crouch, sat in and took commentary of the Accra hearts of Oak match versus WAC of Tunisia in the Accra sports stadium which ended in one nil in favour of the Ghanaian champions.  Steve crouch started the program by playing Hearts of oak's theme song and sat through the whole of the program and closed around 5.30pm and returned home. Unfortunately, Monday morning he was reported dead in his room at Kokoteasua, a suburb of the Obuasi municipal. The cause of his death is unknown at the moment.  His untimely demise reaches everyone with shock, pain and weeping especially the family.

World Colour Day is scheduled and celebrated worldwide on March 21st each year. It is celebrated to create awareness of the the existence and importance of colours in our everyday lives. Also it is done to care for the eye which is the visual perception of reality. "Colour day is celebrated on the said date because it “is the “equinox”. Around the equinox, the night and day are approximately equally long, symbolically relating to the complementary nature of light and darkness, light and shadow expressed in all human cultures.” According to some scientists, human beings are capable of seeing about ten million different colours. In that regard, Binsere municipal authority Junior High School in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti region of Ghana organised to reminisced the celebration of the colour day on 1st October 2021. One such personnel is a veteran and famous indigene of Ghana_George Akwasi Amankwah Marfo also known in the sports fraternity as Spanky Tee who lost the battle to ailment this noon. The real cause of his demise is unknown at the moment and it was reported that he took I'll three weeks ago. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh  born on 26th June, 2001, is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a attacking forward for Ghanaian Premier league side Accra Hearts of Oak . He is an Akan born in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He is a former student of Aduman Senior High School in the Ashanti region of Ghana. He played Galaxy United a division two club in 2016/2017. He also joined Rahimo FC, a top-flight Burkinabe club in January 2018 where he helped the club to win the Burkinabe premier league in the 2018/2019 season. John Mahama refuses to retract his "do or die" comment.

Former President John Mahama is fighting off claims that his recent comments may be a prediction of violence in the next general elections. Mr. Mahama says his utterance regarding a ‘do or die’ affair at polls in 2024 has been misconceived by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). TIGER NUTS MILK (makes approx. 750ml) RECIPE 2 cups tiger nuts, 4 cups filtered water (plus extra for blending), ¼ tsp sea salt, 2 Tablespoon vanilla extract, honey or maple syrup for sweetness cinnamon or nutmeg for spice (optional) METHOD 1. Place the tiger nuts in a bowl or a jar with a lid and add the sea salt. 2. Pour the water over the tiger nuts, cover, and let them soak in the fridge for 24-48 hours. Former France footballer, Jean-Pierre Adams, who had been in a coma for 39 years, has died at the age of 73. Adams was admitted to the hospital for knee surgery in March 1982 but never regained consciousness after an error with his supply of anaesthetic. Born in Senegal, the defender made more than 140 appearances for Nice and also played for Paris St-Germain. In a statement, PSG said Adams’ “joie de vivre, charisma and experience commanded respect.’ Nice said the club would pay tribute to Adams – who won 22 caps for France between 1972-1976 – before their next home game against Monaco on 19 September. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has postponed the implementation of the Common Core Programme (CCP), the new curriculum developed for the Junior High School (JHS).  Giving updates on pre-tertiary education in the country at a press briefing, Prof Opoku-Amankwa said, the new curriculum would rather be implemented next academic year, after enough sensitisation, the GES stated, and therefore requested teachers to continue to use the old curriculum to teach. Training The Director-General of the service, Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, who announced this, said the junior high schools would therefore continue to use the old curriculum and the textbooks since that was still available in the schools. Asante Kotoko outdoors new kits for 2021/2022 season

Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have released their 2021/22 home jersey for the forthcoming Ghana football season. The kits are manufactured by the club’s kit supplier, Errea. The Porcupine Warriors continue their partnership with the Italian-based kit-manufacturing company for their 2021/22 jerseys as they enter the second year of their collaboration. In October 2020, Asante Kotoko announced a three-year partnership deal with Italian firm, Errea, in which special home and away jerseys were designed to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the club. Asante Kotoko’s new kits for the upcoming season are designed to inspire the culture and tradition of the Ashanti Kingdom ruled by the club’s owner, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
