Kenya launches the first locally designed electric bus in Africa



Kenya has launched the first locally designed and produced electric bus in Africa. According to the manufacturer, local engineering talent and local manufacturing partners were utilized in the whole process. This is a good step towards the fight against major climate concerns.



The Manufacturer, Opibus indicated that, the newly produced bus will sell at a significantly lower cost as compared to the importation of same electric cars from outside the country. 

This is meant to draw more market and value for money. Management of the company also revealed that, the product will be less expensive to maintain.

Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy, the former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Worldwide from 1998 to 2008 got retired from active ministry today in Germany after serving in full time ministry for 39 years. In a colourful event to mark his retirement saw the current chair of the church, Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, grace the occasion with some executive members.  Still with an iota of hope to convalesce from his immobility, Apostle Ntumy rocked his wheelchair clouded by his family and members to bid him farewell. He recently celebrated his 65th birthday.
