Dr. Adutwum Sponsors 30 Engineering Students


Member of parliament for the Bosomtwe Constituency, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum who also was the deputy minister of education under the erstwhile Nana Addo government has supported thirty students from his constituency to go and study various courses in engineering from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in Tarkwa which is fully funded by the minister.

His vision is to see 100 engineers in his constituency_Bosomtwe_within the next 10 years.

The excitement on the faces of these young ones was a sight to behold and that of their parents who had assembled in front of his Constituency Office building was palpable.

Fees paid, accommodation provided and a bus ready to convey them to Tarkwa, I encouraged them to aim high, study hard, read wide and pursue success, Dr Adutwum said.

Fomena MP joins NPP Caucus in Parliament

The Independent Member of Parliament for Fomena who is also the 2nd Deputy Speaker, Andrew Asiamah Amoako, has officially communicated to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon. Alban Bagbin notifying him of his decision to reunite himself with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) caucus in Parliament. This brings to bear that the NPP is most likely to constitute the Majority in Parliament pending results of the series of court actions the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has initiated against some Parliamentary seats which were won by the NPP in the December 7, 2020, general elections.
