AKUFO_ADDO SWORN IN AS PRESIDENT AGAIN.




Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo_Addo who emerged as the winner of the election conducted by the electoral commission, Ghana,  has been sworn in as the president of the 4th republic of Ghana. 

Today,  in a solemn ceremony organized at the forecourt of the parliament house saw he and his vice,  Dr. Mahamadou Bawumia take the oath of allegiance to the people of Ghana as the president and the vice respectively.

 The chief justice, Kwesi Anin-Yeboah who led the swearing_in ceremony first swore Dr. Bawumia into office followed by Nana Addo.

The ceremony drew some heads of African states notably George Oppong Weah, Liberia's head of state attended this August occasion of the swearing_in in Ghana's capital, Accra. 

The program was organized bearing all the covid19 protocols.

Okomfo Anokye was an Ewe Togbi and the twin of Togbi Tsali.

Tsali and Tsala (alias Okomfo kye) were twin brothers. Their father was Togbui Akplormada. These brothers were mysteriously endowed with potent spiritual powers. Tsala, who later became known as Okomfo Anokye, left Notsie on his sojourn at a youthful age, and finally settled at Awukugua in present day Eastern Region. Because of his spiritual powers, he became known as Okomfo Notsie (in Ewe language, Notsie Hunor) or Notsie priest. In Anlo oral history, we learnt Tsala (Okomfo Anokye) returned to Notsie around 1695 to consult with his brother Tsali before accepting the invitation of King Osei Tutu of Ashanti to help establish his kingdom (Ashanti Kingdom). Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy, the former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Worldwide from 1998 to 2008 got retired from active ministry today in Germany after serving in full time ministry for 39 years. In a colourful event to mark his retirement saw the current chair of the church, Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, grace the occasion with some executive members.  Still with an iota of hope to convalesce from his immobility, Apostle Ntumy rocked his wheelchair clouded by his family and members to bid him farewell. He recently celebrated his 65th birthday.
